WOW, there are some really unbelievably negative reviews about this place and I'm not sure why. Yes it is very basic straight to the point.

I personally get the bacon breakfast burrito, if you end up going here give it a try their burritos are very hearty meaning they are packed with cheese, potatoes, bacon all wrapped in a tortilla. It's very dry as there is no sauce in them what so ever that's why you need to make sure to order a side of there salsa and pour it on as you eat it.

I like this place because it's consistent and I know what I'm getting. If you're looking for a filling quick burrito this is your place!

I go here all the time so I figure it's about time I write a review. It's my favorite hole in the wall Mexican place. My order rarely deviates. I always get a breakfast burrito. I think the breakfast burritos are the best thing there because the tortillas are really great and they're a perfect size. The salsa is to die for; nice and spicy!

Manuela at the front is always polite and always gives me two salsas with my burrito because she knows that's what I like. Sometimes at slow times of the day they will play mariachi music really loud in the back and sing along and I like that. I like that they seem to enjoy their jobs. The cook is really good too. Sometimes if the person in front is in the bathroom or something she will come up front and take the order and then go back and cook it.

The nachos are also very good and several of my neighbors are addicted to them. I will echo what other reviewers say and tell you that the Horchata is good too. I like it take it home and add more ice and savor it over the day.

I have been going to Viva for years.  Their food is always good.  My past favorite was the carnitas burrito.  It is stuffed with carnitas, guacamole, and salsa on the inside.  And they give you a nice spicy cup of salsa to go with it.
The one thing they could improve would be the wait time.  I have sometimes waited for 10 minutes or more in the drive thru with only a car or two in front of me.  I will say that whenever I did get my food, it was hot and fresh. So at least you know it isn't just sitting around, but made fresh.

When I first relocated here from San Antonio I was on a quest for the closest to "Tex Mex" as possible. I was ecstatic when I found viva burrito. You don't drop in for the ambiance... you go for the food. We used to do a food run from St Joseph's at least once a week. The refried beans and Spanish rice are perfect. The guacamole is un adulterated... the salsa is excellent... if you go by this little place, and you enjoy Mexican food... do yourself a favor and drive thru.

Ordered the super papa's  aka carne asada fries with the works. Waited a good 20 min after ordering, I figured the steak was being cooked no big deal. Got the food headed back to my side of town, south Aurora. The darn fries had no meat!!! It was just fries with cheese, beans, and sour cream. Pulled out my receipt to make sure the order was right, and there it was super papas for almost $10.
Total waste of time and money......
